Volunteer

We need your help. Please volunteer. You're the best.

There are a lot of opportunities to volunteer with the team to ensure a smooth-running season.

Following is a list of various tasks. Choose one task.... two tasks... or more. Your time is valued and appreciated!

Volunteer on Game Days

  • Coordinate sign-ups for game day snacks
  • Coordinate carpooling to away games
  • For turf games: take money at gate
  • Set up and tear down for home games
  • Be official scorekeeper/timer during games for home games
  • Track stats of athletes during games - home/away
  • Be Trainer at games; provide first-aid, etc. (CPR certified)

FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Oversee the management of the team's playing field and turf to ensure practice and home game readiness.

Assist with Fundraising

  • Assist with August car wash
  • Assist with major fundraiser that may be pizza sales, donation drive, etc.
  • Assist with Play4TheCure game tasks  (Late September or October game)

Use Creativity

  • Make team poster
  • Make/coordinate printing of game programs
  • Take game-day pictures for use at end-of-season banquets
  • Take game-day videos
  • Create season-end CD of images for players

Share Ideas and Expertise

  • Become a board member of Chelsea Field Hockey
  • Coordinate tasks/assist Beach Middle School team

Host - Coordinate Events

 

  • Host end-of-season sleepover and/or bonfire (Note: BMS's season wraps in mid-October. The high school season ends late October/early November.)
  • Coordinate end-of-season banquets
